Four Questions You Should Ask Yourself When Choosing New Carpeting

1. What’s my budget?

Start here, or you may cause yourself some heartache! At FLOOR CO. we can point you toward gorgeous, durable carpeting to suit any budget level. 

2. How much abuse will the carpet be taking?

A formal, ”occasional” room won’t suffer nearly as much abuse as the living room and stairways. Choose an easy-to-clean material such as nylon or polyester for your heavy-duty zones. Go for a dense pile and stain protection if you want the toughest product possible.

3. What type of padding should I get?

At FLOOR CO. we offer 2 carpet pad options. Both options are 8 LB - 1/2 inch thick padding which greatly enhances that “walking on clouds” feeling. You can chose regular carpet padding or for rooms where there will be kiddos or pets you may upgrade to a moisture barrier backing so that spills and liquids do not penetrate the pad when spilled onto the carpet. 

4. Which style and color best suits my décor?

If you’re not sure you’re going to retain the same ambience in your home for many years to come, choose neutral colors that can complement a variety of styles and paint colors.
